Brief
During the Creative Composition course at Projector, we identified a problem: there is terribly little awareness about Ukrainian designers of the past. Thus, the theme of our coursework became the popularization of Ukrainian design and art through the creation of our own art projects. Our team focused on the work of Myron Levytsky, a prominent Ukrainian painter and graphic artist.
Solution
Together with the team during the Projector course, we presented a charitable digital clothing collection called Levіtуй, dedicated to Myron Levytsky. It was launched on the world’s first digital clothing marketplace, DRESSX, and consists of five items. We donated 30% of the proceeds from the collection to support the Lviv Municipal Art Center.

The artist and graphic designer Myron Levytsky was one of the Ukrainian artists of the 20th century who refused to live under Soviet rule and settled in Canada. There, he actively supported his compatriots: organizing exhibitions, painting Ukrainian churches, illustrating books by Ukrainian authors, and teaching Ukrainian art.
In our work, we incorporated the ornamental designs and the lightness of the artist's unique style, blending traditions with futuristic ideas. Primarily, we borrowed Levytsky's geometric patterns, which he created for book and magazine covers. The light and airy atmosphere of the collection comes from Levytsky's paintings depicting women in semi-transparent clothing.
